What are some of the new stuff you’re learning? I’m doing Objective-C and Cocoa for the iPhone. Been wanting to try out HTML5 (I’ve read up on it but haven’t coded) but been too busy.

  1. Exactly what you’re doing. Just as the stage where it all kind of clicks, now learning all the different things it can do really. Love the coding style and IB.

  2. How to effectively use the 960-Grid CSS framework (I know, I am way late on that), Worpress, and PHP.

I’m learning how to develop with MODx. I’m loving the framework so far. This weekend will have me developing unique user data forms. I hope to parlay this into a site with monthly income so I can finally be free to work on new ideas.

I’m learning how to write effective blog posts, more about wordPress and php.

Working on learning the basics of django and rails. Just to decide which one I want to focus on.

As well I’ve starting using HTML 5. Mostly just the semantic tags, make CSS and reading of the files much easier.

Working on making responsive websites that are also have progressive enhancement.

The aim in the end is to develop with out php and have 1 url for mobile and screen etc.

Currently learning Perl. I’m hoping to learn at least the basics of one of the Perl frameworks – probably Catalyst.

  7. After many years as a programmer and business owner of an IT shop serving mostly local customers for their programming needs, I’m currently learning how to deal with our growing Apollo http://www.apollohq.com user base!

Still in invites-only beta, we already have users from nearly all timezones. Trying to offer the best support we can is challenging and rewarding at the same time… Did you try Apollo yet?

A lot of things that are no surprise, like HTML5/CSS3/SEO. Still getting neck-deep with Drupal, seems like there is just too much. With that said, I need to really step up my PHP game for back-end programming and more of a server-side mindset. I’m good with javascript, dhtml concepts and jQuery, but I need to get off of my butt and master Ajax. I kinda wanna learn some CSS system like 960 Grid, but not really. Also trying to get the rust off of all the Unix I learned in early college. I have media servers now and I’m trying to get into web servers and all of the really gritty admin stuff.

  9. Planning to learn HTML5 and start developing some HTML5-based themes for Drupal 7.

I need to work on my public speaking skills first, since I have a few classes to teach in October on social media for local small businesses.

  11. Busy learning for 2 exams (MySQL Certifications XD) and then I am going to refresh my Python certification as well as learning how to effectively implement HTML5 local storage engines in a stateless environment as well change our tracking solutions from Cookie to HTML5 local storage :)

Other than that, Obj-C and Cocao :P

I’m still getting used to WordPress 3.0 and finally checking out the new things I can do with theme-ing on this version. Other than that, just a whole lot of busy and not enough to time to focus on learning anything else!

  13. I have been learning how to write an ebook and some HTML5.

  14. A lot of HTML5 learning lately. A real lot!

  15. Antonio says:

Learning Drupal and still working with Zend Framework.

  16. Alistair says:

Currently learning more about Google Maps v3 API, WordPress, and the usual CSS3/HTML5 that everyone else is!
