Any chance to see SSL login on codesnipp.it?
No, why would there need to be an SSL login? There’s no money involved.
There are still passwords involved…
That doesn’t really matter. Neither facebook, twitter or any other site I believe uses SSL.
they don’t use ssl for the entire site. but they do use for the login, which is best practice.
check facebook and twitter’s form action and you see a https on the target url.
I don’t care what’s behind the login, but passwords should be protected.
I agree w/ Amber. No money, no sensitive information, and I’m sure passwords are hashed / encrypted.
Btw, Twitter is all SSL now.
Amber, i just love you. You are great. The perfect girl for a web developer guy
just kidding.
So, @Pablo, Amber is right. codesnipp.it has no money involved but… Amber, make some premium accounts for premium user’s and than you should integrate a SSL certificate
)
@Pablo no they don’t. If you go to twitter or facebooks homepage you can clearly see they don’t have an https.
We’ve had a number of experienced hackers try to hack the site in several ways during alpha testing to make sure everything was safe.
Well, I was just trying to give friendly advice from a fellow web developer. And, you don’t have to visit the website in https mode to do authentication with SSL.
Facebook’s form action target url: https://login.facebook.com/login.php?login_attempt=1
Twitter’s form action target url: https://twitter.com/sessions
Good luck with codesnipp.it. I sincerely hope it becomes a very successful project.
I get a 404 and a puppy (sparky) when I try to go to that link.
