Setting Up Your Desk for Productive Web Development
I get lots of questions about how both my desk and apps are setup and how productivity can be improved. This is a very important topic for many reasons that isn’t discussed very often on the web.
Properly setting up both your physical and virtual desks can make your more productive while also avoiding serious injury like frequent headaches and carpal tunnel syndrome.
While I’m no ergonomic expert, I’ve spent several days over the years tweaking my setup to be the quickest it can be. I’ll show you my own setup and give you some tips for your own.

There’s something about setting up the *perfect* desk setup and workflow that keeps people like us constantly rearranging and tweaking our daily routine.
Example: a few months ago a got a Wacom Bamboo Pen + Touch tablet for my desk at work. It was the first device that let me go back with a quick motion of my hand. Now it seems foolish to not have a mouse with a back button or multitouch input device.
